The Chicken Burger is a hot sandwich made of a patty of chicken in a bun often. It is crispy seasoned chicken breast, topped with mandatory melted cheese and piled onto soft rolls with onion, avacado, lettuce, tomato and garlic mayo.
Ingredients for Chicken Burger Recipe
Chicken mince 200 grams
Burger buns 4
Onions finely chopped 2 medium
Large Onion cut into round slices 1
Green chillies finely chopped 2
Crushed black peppercorns 1/4 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
Ginger finely chopped 1 inch
Soy sauce 1 1/2 teaspoons
Red chilli sauce 3 1/2 tablespoons
Mayonnaise 5 tablespoons
Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 2 tablespoons
Oil 2-3 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Butter 2 tablespoons
Iceberg lettuce leaves refreshed in chilled water a few
Cheese slices 4
Place chicken mince in a bowl, add chopped onions, green chillies, crushed black peppercorns, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, ginger, 1½ tbsps soy sauce, 1½ tbsps red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp mayonnaise and mix well. Add egg and coriander leaves.
Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add salt to the chicken mixture and mix well. Divide it into equal portions, and shape each portion into a round patty. Place the patties in the pan and shallow fry, turning sides, till evenly golden on both the sides.
Slide the patties to one side of the pan and place onion rings in the pan and saute. Add 1 tsp soy sauce and the remaining red chilli sauce to the onion rings and sauté for 1-2 minutes or till the onion rings become a light golden.
Slice the buns horizontally into halves. Apply butter and place in the same pan. Toast till light golden. Place a few shredded lettuce leaves on the base half of each bun, and place a chicken patty on it.
Arrange sautéed onions on the patty. Top it with a cheese slice and 1 tbsp mayonnaise. Cover with the other half bun. Serve immediately.
